BJP government has finally scraped the article 370 on which the whole Kashmir question stands. Nationalistic ideology does not support asymmetric statements to states. States are seen small ,efficient units responding to strong center. BJP government is clearly more confident after 2019 reelection. There is no doubt now that BJP represents majority of non-SC Hindu opinion. Ideology of assertive nationalism is resonating with large section of Indian population. Most importantly, government has no qualms in taking actions which seem to be gratifying to their core base and insulting towards opposition. Statesmanship is not their style. Their style is of warrior who plays for the gallery and who enjoys opponent being abused by spectators. These decisions by BJP hint at times to come. I am assuming that at least for next decade, BJP will enjoy popular support unless there is severe economic downturn. If RSS and BJP core can maintain its grip like China's communist party then
