Inconsistencies and Contradictions

CAB संसदेत पास होऊन एक आठवडा उलटून गेलेला आहे आणि आता त्याचा कायदाही ( CAA) बनलेला आहे . ह्यानंतर NRC येणार आहे असं गृहमंत्र्यांनी सांगितलेले आहे . ह्या दोन्ही कायद्यांना एकत्र पाहिले तर त्यातून मुसलमानांना भारतातून वगळले जाईल अशी मांडणी होते आहे आणि ह्या मांडणीतून उद्भवणाऱ्या अन्यायाला प्रतिरोध म्हणून भारतातील अनेक महानगरांत , शहरांत निदर्शने होत आहेत आणि काही भागांत ही निदर्शने आणि त्यावरील पोलिसिंग हे हिंसक बनल्याचे आपण पाहतो आहोत . केवळ CAA   कायद्याबाबत काही निरीक्षणे ह्या ब्लॉगमध्ये मी नोंदवणार आहे. ह्या निरीक्षणाच्या पाठची भूमिका मी आधी नोंदवतो. माझा तत्वतः CAA कायद्याला विरोध नाही. पण हा कायदा सध्याच्या स्वरुपात न येता त्यात काही बदल होऊन यावा. ब्लॉगच्या उर्वरित भागात मी माझी भूमिका स्पष्ट करतो. CAA आणि CAB पाठचा जो उद्देश , त्या त्या देशांत धार्मिक छळ होत असलेल्या अल्पसंख्य समुदायांना संरक्षण देणे , हा स्तुत्य उद्देश आहे . आणि म्हणूनच माझा तत्वतः CAA ला पाठींबा आहे. पण CAA ह्या स्तुत्य भूमिकेची तोकडी आणि विसंगत अंमल

Modi-2 government has put the ball in action for Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB). There is an uproar about religious nature of the bill. To be politically correct, word used in the bill is 'community' and not 'religion'. This word choice itself shows a typical RSS-BJP strategy, of means serving the end. Bill refers to Hindus in Pakistan as a community and not religion. This is contrary to manner in which word 'Hindu' is used in India. In India, Hindu is a dharma and Jains, Buddhist and Sikhs are communities, as per the Hindu nationalist terminology. But use of word 'Religion' in bill would have proven problematic. Hence, Hindus in Pakistan are termed as 'community'. This is an inconsistency. Prosecution of communities can be applied to Ahemedia community in Pakistan. Discussion about who will form government in Maharashtra is just everywhere. The chance that occasional conversation overheard while walking in road is about government formation. News channel and news papers have done nothing to provide clarity to observers. They are part of the melee of speculative clickbait articles.  It seems that SHS, NCP and INC are trying to forge an alliance to form the government. Nothing more unnatural than SHS aligning with two congress parties. SHS represents jingoistic, chauvinist politics something which congress parties are known to be averse of. Core voter of SHS is mainly anti-congress. Parties are wary of the alliance because they understand that path of alliance will be full of perils. Examples of Karnataka, Bihar and north eastern states are too close to be forgotten. Supreme court of India has delivered the verdict in the Ayodhya land title dispute. Prabhu Ram (Lord Ram or Ramala Virajaman) is the owner of the land under dispute. I find the verdict strange. I have no doubt about faith of large number and fraction of Hindus that Ayodhya is birthplace of Ram. Ramayana fascinates me. I also believe that a great king, who resembles the hero of Ramayana must have existed. Yet, I cannot make peace the verdict. A deity or god cannot be the owner of the land ruled by humans. Human beings or creations of human beings like limited liability company can be the owners. Not gods!   I also do not understand why waqf board has been awarded the 5 acres. If their possession was wrongful or continuation of historical wrongful possession, then why are they being compensated? Compensation indicates that something unjust has happened with the receiver.
